IllumiNative, created and led by Native peoples, is a nonprofit initiative designed to increase the visibility of – and challenge the negative narrative about – Native Nations and peoples in American society founded by Crystal Echo Hawk and a group of respected Native leaders to capitalize on the findings of Reclaiming Native Truth.

- Becoming Visible: A Landscape Analysis of State Efforts to Provide Education about American Indians and Alaska Natives, (2019), IllumiNative, in partnership with the National Congress of American Indians, the National Indian Education Association (NIEA), the National Education Association (NEA) and WEND Collective released a comprehensive report on Native American K-12 curricula.
Director Billy Luther recommends films made by Native and Indigenous filmmakers, list compiled for Variety (2020) by Billy Luther (Navajo, Hopi, and Laguna Pueblo Tribes) recommends films to watch that share the Native American experience from different tribes. His previous credits include the documentary “Miss Navajo”, the 2018 reality TV series “Alter-Native,” and his narrative feature “Frybread Face and Me” was part of the 2020 Sundance Institute.
