
Baton Rouge, LA (April 2024) – Big River Economic and Agricultural Development Alliance (BREADA) announces an exciting partnership with LYNX by CATS, bringing convenient and sustainable transportation options to North Baton Rouge.
Residents and visitors alike can now utilize LYNX by CATS to catch an on-demand ride to the Mobile Red Stick Farmers Market, held weekly at the ExxonMobil YMCA on Wednesdays from 9 am to noon.
LYNX by CATS offers an on-demand service that allows users to request a shared ride whenever they need it, simply through a mobile app or by calling in (225-267-9080). With LYNX, commuters can book their rides quickly and easily, ensuring prompt pickups and dropoffs within the City of Baker and nearby destinations such as Southern University and the Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport (BTR).
“We are excited to partner with LYNX by CATS to enhance accessibility to the Red Stick Farmers Market and make it easier for residents to support local farmers. Red Stick Farmers Market makes fresh fruits and vegetables more accessible by doubling SNAP benefits up to $50 at all market locations,” said Darlene Adams Rowland, executive director of BREADA. LYNX by CATS offers affordable pricing options for riders at only $1.75 per ride. Seniors (62+) and youth (5-18 years old) can ride for $0.35 per ride. Passengers in wheelchair accessible vehicles (WAV) can ride $0.35 per ride. High school and university students with a valid school ID ride for free.
