December 7th

The 2021 virtual Preemption Convening will focus on sharing results from message research led by Frank Luntz, pollster and communications analyst, for the American Heart Association. Participants will leave with a better understanding of words and phrases to use when messaging conservative lawmakers about preemption issues. A Q&A session will be hosted after the presentation followed by a workshop session to put learnings and findings into practice.

Preemption has been a tactic of opposition across the country to limit the ability for communities to make decisions and pass policies best for their community to ensure each day is healthier for all children. While your campaign may not have been directly impacted by preemption yet, we wanted to extend the opportunity for you and your colleagues to join this convening.
