Crafting original content, including op-eds and letters to the editor, can bring the awareness your campaign needs to recruit advocates, earn media coverage and influence lawmakers. In this session, attendees will get insider tips on how to form meaningful relationships with editors and editorial boards. Then they’ll learn how to identify the elements that make a memorable op-ed or LTE, including who should write the content and what information should be included. All participants will have an opportunity to engage in rich discussion and to ask questions of Shelly Hogan, Field Media Advocacy Director for the American Heart Association, and Terra Hall, Media Advocacy Lead for the American Heart Association.
