Senior Grants Administrator

Vick Sussman, MA, JD, (she/her) is the Senior Grants Administrator for Voices for Healthy Kids.

Vick has more than 25 years of grants management and operations experience, having worked with universities, independent non-profits, and state government. It is essential to her that she work only for organizations with a strong mission that leads to tikkun olam (Hebrew for repairing the world), and she recognizes the privilege that allows her to do so. She was with the American Heart Association’s Institute for Precision Cardiovascular Medicine from 2018-2020, and she is delighted to be back with the AHA.

Vick earned a master’s degree in sociology and a law degree from The Ohio State University. She decided that the adversarial life was not for her, and instead, she went into non-profit administration. She has never looked back.

Vick is the mother of two daughters, an Alaskan Klee Kai (dog), and a Cornish Rex (cat). In her free time, she is the president of the board of her synagogue, enjoys reading, and will find any excuse to be in or by the water.
